No, not about Marc Bolan, not on this page - well, in a way it is about him, it's about my* involvement over the last thirty years in the music scene and most particularly that's been working with his art, either directly, as in releasing his music or writings, or indirectly through the release of interpretations, through involvement with fanzines and publications, etc. etc.
This time has given me the opportunity to meet and work with some great artists and bands, and people who knew and worked with Bolan, many of whom have become great friends and it has also allowed me to share my interest with others who feel the same about Marc
In time I plan to write about many of the projects listed below, the people who were involved, the history behind them, to share photos and some of the music that did get released and some that didn’t
I am as passionate today about the Bolanic projects I am involved in as I was 1986 when accosted by someone calling themselves Gardenia at a Bolan convention in Cheltenham who insisted that I released a single of them singing some of their songs and some Marc songs… the rest, as they say, is history – it’s also the present and it’s also the future
* Throughout almost all this time and most of the projects I have worked with my partner Karen Hirst. Her input has been creative, objective and vital - basically, ‘without whom’…
